As a Founding Engineer at Ropes, you'll be instrumental in building and scaling our technical assessment platform during a period of significant growth. You'll work directly with our core team NYC, shipping features that directly impact how staffing firms evaluate and place technical talent.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience building and shipping full-stack web applications in production
  • Strong foundation in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL
  • Interest in or experience with LLMs and AI systems
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving projects from concept to completion
  • Comfort with ambiguity and excitement about wearing multiple hats
  • Passion for our mission of making technical hiring more equitable and effective

Founding AI Engineer

We're transforming how companies hire tech talent by building AI-powered assessment tools that detect and prevent candidate fraud while evaluating real technical ability. At Ropes, we're using AI to fight AI – creating systems that can distinguish genuine expertise from AI-assisted deception in an era where traditional hiring methods are failing.

As a Founding AI Engineer at Ropes, you'll architect the intelligence layer that powers our assessment platform. You'll work directly with our core team in NYC, building systems that analyze candidate behavior, generate custom technical challenges, and provide insights that rival the best human interviewers.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience building production AI systems and LLM-powered applications
  • Strong foundation in RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and AI pipeline design
  • Hands-on experience with model context protocols (MCP) and orchestrating complex AI workflows
  • Track record of implementing AI solutions that scale to thousands of concurrent users
  • Deep understanding of embedding systems, vector databases, and retrieval optimization
  • Comfort working across the entire AI stack – from infrastructure to application layer
  • Excitement about pioneering new approaches to AI-powered evaluation and fraud detection

Founding GTM Lead

We're transforming how companies hire tech talent by building assessment tools that mirror real technical interviews. At Ropes, we believe talent should be measured by capability, not credentials. Our platform helps companies identify great talent based on what they can actually do, not where they've worked or studied.

As a Founding GTM Lead at Ropes, you'll be instrumental in driving our growth during a pivotal moment in our company's trajectory. You'll work directly with our core team in NYC owning the outbound sales engine and helping staffing firms discover a better way to evaluate and place technical talent.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience as a SDR or BDR in a fast-growing startup or background in finance/consulting with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume outbound activity - comfortable making 100+ calls per day and executing in a metrics-driven environment
  • Genuine enthusiasm for understanding technical hiring challenges and articulating how Ropes solves them
  • Hungry to learn, grow, and progress into an Account Executive role as we scale
  • Energy and ambition to build something meaningful in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excitement about joining an early-stage company where your impact will be immediately visible
