Your assessment, explained
Invited to a Ropes assessment? You are in the right place. Here is what to expect, how to stay safe from recruitment scams, and where to get help if you need it.
How to verify a Ropes interview invitation
Recruitment fraud is on the rise. Ropes sends interview invitations only for roles you've already applied for, never through unsolicited messages asking for money or personal financial details.
Your link is on <subdomain>.ropes.ai
Real assessment invitations open on a ropes.ai subdomain. The subdomain may vary, but the domain will always be ropes.ai.
Messages come from @ropes.ai
Operational emails about your assessment will come from a ropes.ai address. When in doubt, check the sender and interview link for legitimacy.
Not sure? Forward the message to your recruiter and ask them to confirm they sent it. You can also email support@ropes.ai before clicking any link.
We are not your employer. We help you show what you can do
Ropes is a skills assessment platform used by staffing firms and companies to evaluate candidates. Your assessment is tailored to the role you applied for, so recruiters see what you can do, not just what's on a resume.
Your interview journey
You receive an invitation
You receive a link to complete the interview for the role you applied for.
Identity verification
When required by your potential employer, you will verify your identity with a government ID and a quick selfie check. This helps ensure the person taking the assessment is really you.
Complete the assessment
Work through role-relevant tasks at your own pace. Interviews typically last anywhere from 10-60 minutes depending on the task. The interview onboarding indicates how long it will take.
Results go to your recruiter
Ropes shares your results with the company that invited you. They follow up about next steps. Ropes does not make hiring decisions.
Your privacy, handled with care
We collect only what is needed to run a fair, secure assessment, and we are clear about how that information is handled.
What we receive from Veriff (ID Verification)
Ropes does not receive your government-issued ID image, facial templates, or other biometric data from Veriff. We receive only the verification outcome, verification selfie, and high-level document data such as document type, issuing country, and verification status.
Read Veriff's Privacy NoticeWhat we do not do with your data
We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising or marketing, or use it to train AI models. Your assessment information is used to run your assessment, provide results to the organization that invited you, and detect fraud.
Read our Biometrics PolicyA few minutes of setup goes a long way
Feeling a little nervous is normal. These simple steps help most candidates start smoothly.
Pick a quiet window
Choose a time when you can focus without interruptions. Ensure your devices are plugged in or fully charged. You cannot pause once you start the interview.
Check your camera and microphone
Use Chrome or Edge on a laptop when possible. Allow camera and microphone access when prompted, and close other apps that might be using them.
Have your ID ready
If identity verification is required, keep an original, unexpired government photo ID nearby.
